Boiler makes & models, Bristol
We offer a range of boiler makes and models to meet different heating needs, making sure you get the performance and efficiency your home needs. Whether you’re looking for a compact combi boiler for a small flat or a high-capacity system boiler for a larger home, we have options to suit.
Choosing a boiler starts with your home, not the brochure: how many bathrooms you have, how much hot water you use, how much space there is and which fuel you’re on. Once we know that, the choice of model becomes much simpler, and our expert team is here to help you choose.
Below are the gas and oil models we install most often, with what each one is best suited to. We service and repair every make, not just the ones we fit, so an unusual boiler is never a problem. For accreditation and guarantee details, see our Worcester Bosch boilers page.
Gas boiler models
These are the Worcester Bosch Greenstar gas boilers we fit most often. The right one depends on the size of your home, your hot water demand and where the boiler is going.
Bosch quality and great design at a lower price. Compact and kitchen-cupboard ready, with simple, easy-to-use controls and an A rating for efficiency.
Quiet Mark certified, with QuickTap, so you waste less water waiting for it to heat up. A-rated, with the same good value as the 1000.
A combi with an easy-to-use colour display that operates well in low water pressure areas. One of the quietest combis available, suited to small to medium homes. See our combi boilers.
Combis for larger homes with more than one bathroom, with full colour displays and wireless connectivity to the Bosch EasyControl smart thermostat. The 8000 Style comes in a sleek black finish.
Fits in a standard kitchen cupboard, with user-friendly displays, simple control knobs and a clear temperature display. Pairs with the Bosch EasyControl for a better package efficiency rating.
For homes whose heating includes a hot water storage cylinder. Kitchen-cupboard sized with a simple control knob, and built-in frost protection if it’s installed in a garage or loft.

Oil boiler models
For homes with no mains gas, we install Worcester Bosch Greenstar oil boilers, fitted by our OFTEC registered engineers. There are models for inside and outside the house, so we can work around the space you have.

Always use a registered engineer. By law, gas and LPG boilers must be installed by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Oil boiler installers should be OFTEC registered.
Choosing a boiler
01
Start with your heating and hot water: household size, number of bathrooms and whether you use several taps or showers at once. That decides combi, system or regular.
02
Look at each model’s energy efficiency rating and output, and whether it works well with your water pressure and smart controls.
03
Compare guarantee periods and what they cover. Accredited installation can unlock longer guarantees on selected Worcester Bosch boilers.
04
Factor in installation requirements, servicing and running costs alongside the price of the boiler itself. We’ll set it all out in your quote.
Boiler types
Before you choose a model, choose the type. Here’s the rule of thumb our engineers use, and we’ll confirm it at your survey.
Best for smaller homes with limited space and lower hot water demand. Heating and hot water straight from the mains, with no tank or cylinder. Combi boilers in Bristol.
Suited to homes with higher hot water demand and more than one bathroom, working with a separate hot water cylinder.
Also called heat only or conventional boilers, ideal for larger homes with high hot water demand and an existing traditional system with a tank and cylinder.
As Worcester Bosch accredited partners, we can offer extended guarantees on selected Worcester Bosch boilers. Terms vary by model, so we’ll confirm the guarantee that comes with your boiler in your quote.

Choosing between boiler makes and models comes down to six things: your heating and hot water needs, efficiency and performance, reliability and guarantee, installation and maintenance, features and technology, and your budget. Answer a few quick questions with our boiler quote tool for a recommendation for your home.
Combi boilers are best for smaller homes with limited space and lower hot water demand. System boilers suit homes with higher demand and several bathrooms. Regular boilers suit larger homes with high demand and an existing traditional system. Our boiler quote takes less than 30 seconds and recommends a type and size.
Check the boiler’s energy efficiency rating, the guarantee period and what it covers, its installation requirements and costs, the maintenance and servicing it needs, and the features and technology it includes, such as smart control compatibility.
A combi relies on your mains pressure, so it matters. The Greenstar 4000 is designed to operate well in low water pressure areas. If your pressure is very low, a system or regular boiler with a cylinder may suit you better, and we’ll test it at your survey. See combi boilers.
Often, yes. The Greenstar Ri heat only boiler includes frost protection, which reduces the risk of freezing if it’s installed in a garage or loft. For oil, the external Heatslave II sits outside in its own robust, durable cabinet.
The Greenstar 1000, CDi Compact and Ri are all designed to fit in a standard kitchen cupboard. For oil, the Internal Heatslave II fits underneath a standard kitchen worktop.
Yes. Models such as the Greenstar 4000, 8000 Life and 8000 Style connect wirelessly to the Bosch EasyControl smart thermostat, and we also fit controls such as Nest and Hive. Are smart thermostats worth it?
It depends on the make and model. As Worcester Bosch accredited partners, we can offer extended guarantees on selected Worcester Bosch boilers, and an annual service keeps them valid. See Worcester Bosch boilers for the details.
