Nailsea is a straightforward drive from our Patchway base, and we’re often in the town and around Backwell.
Once known for its 18th and 19th-century glassworks, Nailsea grew quickly in the second half of the 20th century, and much of it is family housing on estates from the 1960s, 70s and 80s. Plenty of those homes have since been extended, with loft conversions, bigger kitchens and extra bathrooms, which changes what the heating system needs to do.
Many of the boilers fitted when those estates were new have long since been replaced, often with combis, but some regular boilers and loft tanks are still going. Around the edges of the town, villages like Wraxall, Chelvey and Brockley include older and more rural properties, a few of them off the mains gas network, where our oil and LPG work comes in.
